3 DAYS IN LISBON (Portugal) - PART 2

This is a second part of our two part blog about our trip to Lisbon. Check out our first part here.

On our way back from Cascais we stopped at Belem to see the famous Belém Tower, but we didn't went inside as the line was too long for us to wait.

We were quite hungry so we went to a nearby restaurant Nosolo Italia. It's a nice Italian restaurant near the Rose Compass and Padrão dos Descobrimentos. We were tired from our trip to Cascais so we took quite a lot of time to eat our lunch.

After lunch, we went to see Rose Compass and Padrão dos Descobrimentos, because they were right there in front of Nosolo Italia restaurant.

It was still very early in the afternoon and it was too hot to explore the city so we decided to stop at the nearby park Parc Eduardo VII

After an hour of enjoying our time in the shadow of trees, we decided that it is time to take a tram back to the city center. We stopped to see Estátua do Duque da Terceira

We were very close to Zarzuela bakery so we stopped here to try their Pastel de nata.

Pastel de nata

Zuzarela has their traditional Pastel de nata as well as gluten-free Pastel de nata and it was the perfect choice for us as I can't eat gluten. We took our Pastel de nata with us to enjoy them in a nice park near our hotel.
We stayed at the park and played some card games until it was too dark to see.

The third day was our last full day in Lisbon and we had a reservation to see Lisbon Oceanarium (Oceanário de Lisboa). In the morning we took an underground to the Estação do Oriente a modern bus and train station, from there we took a walk to the Torre Vasco da Gama from there it was a nice view on the longest bridge in Europe Ponte Vasco da Gama, the bridge is 17 km long.

The Oceanarium was nice and modern. There is a great diversity of animals from fishes to sea shells, sea horses, penguins, and many other animals. On the video below you can see one of their biggest aquariums. Oceanarium is great for a visit in every type of weather and all year around.

We decided to spend the rest of the afternoon in our chilling out in our room, in the evening we went on a dinner to a nearby restaurant Rice Me that has all of their dishes based on rice, so the majority of the menu is gluten-free.

We liked yesterdays evening in the park so much that we decided to go back to the park for a little bit after dinner. before we went back to the hotel we stopped in one of the shops and bought some snack for the early morning flight the next day.
