ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LJUBLJANA

When you come to Slovenia, you must come to Ljubljana. It's a Slovenian capital city and it has around 285 000 people.

How to come to Ljubljana?

By plane: Closest airport is Letališče Jožeta Pučnika. There you can take a bus until Ljubljana (main BUS station).

By train: The main train station is located right next to main BUS station which in very close to the city center (15 min by walk).

How to move around Ljubljana?

By BUS: First of all, you have to buy a URBANA card, which costs 2 EUR. You can buy it in main BUS station, on urbanomat or many other places. The single ride cost 1,30 EUR and it is valid for 90 min.

If you don't want to see really whole Ljubljana, but only the center I don't really recommend to buy it, because the city center of Ljubljana is very small but anyway buses don't drive in center district. So we suggest you to walk around.

In Ljubljana, you can also borrow a bicycle for only 1 EUR per week or scooter for 0,23 EUR per minute.

Where to eat?

Foculus
Is islocated close to the center. Their food is very tasty.

Hiša pod gradom

What about GLUTEN FREE?

Cojzla
It's located in BTC. It's a little bit hidden, but they have really tasty only gluten free food.

Favola
They offer also gluten free pizzas. Look at their menu.

What about drink & dessert?

Tap water in Ljubljana

Ljubljana is one of the few European capitals with very high quality drinking water. For that reason there is no need to buy bottled water in stores while in Ljubljana and Slovenia.

Did you know that there are almost 40 fountains with drinking water throughout Ljubljana. Drinking fountains work from April until October. But how can I find them? Don't worry, there's an app called TAP WATER LJUBLJANA.
