Here is a list of stuff that we always pack.
How many pieces of clothes will you take with you depends on how many days are you traveling.
Before your departure also check the weather forecast and don't forget to take warm clothes with you.
We suggest you to never take with you brand new shoes. Rather buy your shoes at least a couple of days before your departure and wear your shoes at least 8 days before starting your trip. If you think that there is the slightest chance for you to get blisters from your shoes, do not forget to take some blister patches with you.
LIQUIDS
Make sure that you have all your products in little packaging. You really don't need big packaging.
If you are sleeping in a hotel, you don't even need to take many of the products with you, because usually, you will find a hair shampoo, hair conditioner, soap and some other products in a hotel's bathroom.
If you are traveling somewhere further from your home, where the culture is very different, you can go to a local supermarket and you can buy soap or a shampoo there. You will definitely find some new smells. Then you can take them home with you, as a souvenir to yourself.
TECHNOLOGY
Before you go to another country check which sockets they use. We suggest you take with you a travel adapter plug. If you don’t have one and sockets in your hotel are different you can find a cheap store and buy one there.
IMPORTANT
How much money do you need to bring with you?
Get acquainted with how much food costs. If you are planning to go to a restaurant you can check their menus with prices online. We most of the times use Trip Advisor.
So if you are gonna eat once per day in a restaurant (15 EUR) in a supermarket you will buy some other food and drinks (10 EUR). You also don’t forget the payment for different tickets if you are planning to see some attractions. And don’t forget no the metro/bus pass cost or any other city transportation to move around city.
In the end, add it all up and this is how much money you should take with you. Don’t forget to bring also some extra money for unforeseen costs.

Your ATM card, all money which you don’t intend to spend that day and your passport always keep in your document bag.
OTHER
A document bag is a very important thing. We have very very thin bags. We keep a bag all the time around the waist under the T-shirt. Don’t keep all your money, cards and especially your document in your backpack.

You will need a little backpack for everyday use. Keep there a water bottle, food for that day, seating/lining pad and in case of bad weather forecast also an umbrella. We highly recommend that when you are walking or standing in a massive group of people put your backpack on your front side and put your hands on it. Don’t ever keep important things in your pockets.
We always, but really always, take with us an umbrella because you never know when it will start raining. A few times happened to us that we had all vacation sunny, but when we arrived back home we need an umbrella because it was raining.
Seating / lining pad is also always with us. We have a pad brand Enjoy Enjoy. We have one pad for 3 people. It is really cool in case that there isn’t any available bench in a park, you can easily spread pad on the grass and sit or lie down on it. Before you do this, just make sure than it isn't maybe forbidden walking on grass in that park.
We always take with us our cards, called Enka (One, Uno,...) it is a super fun game.
We also have travel games brand The Purple Cow. They have a few different options. The games are super small, thin and they work on the principle of magnets. So you can play them on buses, trains or planes. Our favourite is Človek ne jezi se (Don't be mad) and Poišči besedo (Find a word).
We always take some snacks with us. Usually some chocolate bars, fresh and dry fruits or nuts. We never forget our water bottles at home. We have the one which keeps our drink cold in summer and warm in winter.
There is nothing better than having a warm tea in your bottle after exploring new town on a cold winter day.

Here is our winter and summer pack list.
And for the end, don’t forget leave some room in your backpack for all your memories.
